Safety & Support

Sintonia · Eterno amore.

Dating apps have a creeper problem because they are designed for volume. Sintonia is designed for attention: small paid membership, required identity and photo verification, no public profiles, no browsing strangers, and automatic safeguards that stop predatory patterns before they reach you. No system can guarantee 100% safety. Sintonia is a best-effort platform — automatic filters catch what they can, members report what they notice, and every report is acted on. Sintonia is not a therapy service and does not provide clinical care.

How Sintonia keeps the wrong people out

Paid membership, verified humans

Every member pays. Every member completes identity verification. No free accounts, no disposable logins, no bots. The paywall is the first filter against bad actors who target free platforms.

No public profiles, no swiping, no browsing

There is no way for a member to page through strangers looking for a target. Connections unfold inside guided rooms, after mutual consent. Nobody can "find" you until you have both agreed.

One-tap Report button — anywhere in the app

A Report button is visible on every profile, every letter, and inside every Be-Here-Together chat. Tapping it immediately blocks the other person from contacting you and sends the account for review. You do not have to explain yourself. Reports feed automatic pattern-matching that removes repeat offenders from Sintonia for good. Every report is acted on.

Reports are delivered to the Sintonia safety inbox at hellosintonia@gmail.com with Report in the subject line, so they are triaged before anything else. Once the mysintonia.com domain is fully provisioned, the same inbox will be aliased to safety@mysintonia.com and the Report flow will route there automatically.

Consent before sexual content is shown

Intimate talk between two adults who both want it is welcome. Intimate talk pushed on someone who did not ask for it is not. If a message contains sexual content, the recipient sees a one-tap Accept & read / Decline prompt before the message is rendered. Decline, and the message is never shown to you; the sender is told it was not delivered, without any reason given. You stay in control.

Be-Seen video only after mutual consent

Sintonia offers a mutual video option called Be-Seen that lives inside the Be-Here-Together chat window. It is not a ringing, drop-in call. One partner taps Be-Seen from inside a live chat; the other partner receives a consent card. Video does not turn on for either side until both of you have tapped Accept. The session is open-ended — it runs as long as the two of you want it to — and either of you can end it at any moment without explanation. Nothing is recorded or stored, and Be-Seen is only available after at least one completed Be-Here-Together so faces are never shown to a stranger. If you decline, the inviter is simply told the window did not open — no reason given.

Love-bombing and grooming patterns stopped automatically

Letters and voice notes are scanned by models trained to recognize predatory patterns — rushed intimacy, financial asks, isolation language, script-style manipulation. Matching messages are blocked before they reach you and the sender's account is suspended automatically. No human review is promised. No filter is perfect, which is why Report is one tap.

Crisis language intercepts the sender, not you

If a member writes something that matches crisis or suicidal-language patterns, that message is never delivered. The sender is surfaced the real resources (988 and more), and their ability to chat, write letters, or contact anyone on Sintonia is suspended until they self-attest that they are safe. Sintonia is not a crisis service and does not monitor chats — this is automatic. You, as the recipient, are not burdened with someone else's crisis.

City and state only — never a precise location

Your profile shows city and state so people searching for connection in their part of the country can find their match. Sintonia never shows your street address, neighborhood, ZIP code, GPS coordinates, real-time location, or distance between members, and we never disclose any of that information to another member. Predators exploit precise location; connection does not require it.

Age verification for 45+

Sintonia is intended for adults forty-five and older. Verification is required at signup — ID check or credit-card age match — so the community stays the community it promised to be.

United States only

Sintonia is available exclusively to residents of the United States. Submissions from outside the U.S. are deleted.

English and Spanish — English y Español

On first visit, Sintonia asks which language you want — English or Español. You can switch at any time from the top of every page. Safety and Terms pages are available in both languages. Al ingresar por primera vez, Sintonia le pregunta qué idioma prefiere. Puede cambiar en cualquier momento.

A clear exit at any moment

Delete your account, and your data is erased on a published schedule. No reactivation tricks. No "are you sure?" spirals. Leaving is honored as a decision a grown-up gets to make.

What Sintonia is honest about

No online platform can promise total safety. We can promise this: a paid, verified community; filters that run around the clock; a Report button that works in one tap; accounts removed when we catch them or when you flag them. If something slips through, tell us — we act on every report.

If you need more than Sintonia can offer

Sintonia is a place to build a real connection. It is not a crisis service, it is not therapy, and it is not monitored by any safety team. If you are in distress — or if you are worried about someone you care about — please reach out to people who are trained for this moment. These lines are free, confidential, and staffed around the clock.

Sintonia does not provide clinical care, and no message sent inside the app is a substitute for reaching one of the lines above.
